Used Car Manager for Busy Dealership (Serious Inquiries Only)
[MAPLECREST] is looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in our [VAUXHALL] office. The Sales Manager is responsible for setting the goals of the department, understanding the importance of building and maintaining relationships, overseeing the budget, motivating the team, and projecting an environment of continuous learning.
The ideal candidate will provide coaching and leadership to those on the sales team. This role will motivate and guide the team towards reaching all sales goals. He/she will assign territories, report to senior Sales leadership on achievements, and mentor the junior sales team members. This person will also display tremendous leadership experience, strong customer service skills, and proven negotiating skills.
Qualifications • Minimum of three years of experience in automotive sales • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and increasing profitability • You have at least one year of prior used vehicle sales experience and have a broad knowledge of all types of vehicles • You have three years of managing inventory at a dealership level • Reliable and presentable in business attire, representing in a professional manner • You have a strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment • You have experience providing outstanding customer service by showcasing expertise, fostering trust, and growing customer satisfaction • You have friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude • You are open to constructive feedback to improve your performance and development • Flexible with work scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays • You have strong computer and multitasking skills, which includes Microsoft Office • You will operate a clean, organized, presentable workplace with a strong attention to detail • High school diploma or the equivalent • You have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record | Responsibilities Monitor and manage dealership inventory of used car vehicles • Daily review of outbound emails & incoming leads on used cars using Dealer Socket • Establish standards for appraising and performs the appraising function • Strong understanding of market conditions, learning new ways to acquire vehicles • Weekly communication with management on trade-in vehicles • Ability to help the sales team effectively close customers and build relationships • Working knowledge of industry software and inventory management tools and CRM • Establishes recommended unit sales and dollar gross profit objectives for daily operating control • Organizes and directs sales meetings, counseling and training the sales force • “Walking the lot” making sure all cars are front-line ready: Year stickers, plate frames, line straight and adding and removing wholesale units • Approves sales contracts and assists in closing • Reviews advertising and promotional plans with salespersons • Prepares forecasts for daily operating control • The Used Car Manager will continue to nurture the sales team with resources to further their car knowledge with the goal of assisting the customer with a positive car buying experience Benefits • 401k Plan • Paid time off (PTO) • Competitive Pay Plans • Health Insurance •Dental Insurance • Vision Plans • |
